The concert given entirely for the benefit of our association by Joanna Goodale on Saturday September 4, in Lauzerte, literally transported the assembly.
The young pianist, already internationally renowned, presented a program entitled "Bach and Sufi Music". A program of finesse, without any juxtaposition, with unity, works by Johann Sebastian Bach and traditional Sufi music from Turkey and Persia transcribed for piano were presented in turn in an original, innovative way, highlighting the convergence of musical and spiritual inspiration from east and west. A great musical and charitable success. We thank Joanna very much for this concert.
