After 2 grim years surviving as a young widow in hiding in Afghanistan with her four young girls and little boy, Fahima finally obtained her visas and came to us at the beginning of February 2024. Resident permits obtained, all the children are enrolled in school and french studied earnestly. But summer holidays is time for other discoveries and the challenge of learning to swim is perhaps more fun than learning french!
